Speaker Bio: Dave has been involved in local missions since his life took a radical redirection at an AYC event in 2009. He is passionate about all things discipleship, with a special interest in seeing followers of Jesus be intentional about sharing the gospel in their immediate contexts.

Workshop Overview: Most of us spend more waking hours at work than anywhere else, yet for many Christians fatih and career can feel like two separate worlds. The idea of bridging them feels risky, awkward, or just plain hard.

Drawing from his own experience sharing Jesus in the workplace, David Brown unpacks a three-stage approach to workplace discipleship: showing up with genuine care, building trust that earns the right to be heard, and knowing how to offer the invitation when the moment comes.

You will leave with a clear, practical process you can begin applying on Monday morning. You will not need a ministry title or a theology degree. You will just need to be present and authentic, showing up with love. If you do that, staying the course with patience, and trusting the One who called you there, the fruit WILL come.

Speaker Bio: Dr Quintin Betteridge is the Senior Pastor of Kingscliff Seventh-day Adventist Church in Northern New South Wales. His doctoral work focused on faith and culture, with particular attention to mission in secular and post-Christian contexts. He is passionate about helping the church understand the cultural moment, bridge generational divides, and engage spiritually curious, sceptical, and institutionally cautious people with the beauty and credibility of the gospel.

Workshop Overview: In this workshop, we will explore what it means to be culturally conversant: to read the cultural moment, discern the spiritual longings beneath it, and communicate the gospel in language people can understand without losing its truth.

To do that, we will do 5 things: observe, interpret, discern, translate, and embody. We will observe what is happening in our culture, interpret the stories and assumptions shaping people, discern the deeper longings beneath the surface, translate the gospel faithfully into those questions and desires, and embody the kind of witness that makes the gospel credible and beautiful.

Speaker Bio: Katelyn Morgan is a wife, mum of two, and passionate follower of Christ with a heart for helping people know and love Jesus. With a background in social work, chaplaincy, and school counselling, she has spent years walking alongside people through different seasons of life. She and her husband have been involved in church planting, and she enjoys leading personal Bible studies and serving through a local playgroup ministry. Known for her warmth, kindness, and missional heart, Katelyn loves encouraging others to practise Christ-centred hospitality in everyday life.

Speaker Bio: Jessica Bishop is a wife, mother and clinical psychologist. She was raised in the Christian faith, and has increasingly come to see God’s depth of love and care for all humanity. One of Jessica’s passions is to explore, share and talk about Biblical truths through a psychological lens. 

Workshop Overview: Our world is filled with pain and suffering, and as we see news clips, talk to our friends and family, or experience our own deep distress… it can feel like we are filled to saturation and have no more space for pain. How do we find a way not to close off, instead to be empathetic and close to those in need? The Godhead provides a beautiful example to us, most notably in the form of Jesus, who came and tabernacled with us. In our workshop, we will explore this theme further, along with some practical tips on how to ‘tabernacle with the pain.’
